With November around the corner I want to re-visit this system and also discuss another punting angle for the stable. Handicap chases, month-by-month… The following table shows the monthly record of Venetia Williams-trained chasers in Britain and Ireland since 2010… ![](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-15-2025-06-50-52-7492-PM.png?width=1217&height=300&name=image-png-Oct-15-2025-06-50-52-7492-PM.png)  November was a profitable month thanks to 93 winners from 421 bets (22.09% strike-rate, +£180.01 to a £1 level stake at SP, +£260.16 at Betfair SP after 2% comm), while December also produced some healthy returns. November handicap chasers by year… This angle returned a profit at BSP in 13 of the 15 years in the study period… ![](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-15-2025-06-51-47-3125-PM.png?width=1191&height=367&name=image-png-Oct-15-2025-06-51-47-3125-PM.png)  It’s possible that the dry start to October might put the trainer a week or two behind where she wants be with her horses at this time of year (2022 also featured a dry October) but it’s a punting system that I still intend to follow this term. It’s also worth wearing in mind that her last losing November with handicap chasers (2022) was followed by a very profitable December thanks to eight winners from 26 bets (+£27.75 at SP, +£35.15 at BSP).  Horse Age Those of you wishing to reduce the number of bets might want to only consider the younger horses (plenty of the yard’s runners are French breds that tend to be more precocious) and, since 2010, backing those aged eight or younger who ran in handicap chase company in November would have achieved the following results… ![](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-15-2025-06-52-28-3650-PM.png?width=1144&height=52&name=image-png-Oct-15-2025-06-52-28-3650-PM.png) …a fantastic profit of £203.26 at SP (+62.74% on turnover) and +£276.30 at BSP (+85.28%). Wind operations On the subject of Venetia Williams-trained chasers – handicapper or otherwise – she has a good record with those returning from wind surgery…   ![](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-15-2025-06-53-20-2441-PM.png?width=1139&height=53&name=image-png-Oct-15-2025-06-53-20-2441-PM.png) Summary Back Venetia Williams’ handicap chasers in November, especially those aged eight or younger Also consider following this system in November, especially if we have a dry autumn and the yard doesn’t start firing until later. Back the yard’s chasers on their first run back after a wind operation If you don't already have an account with AK Bets, or maybe have tried in the past but failed to get one, try again, they are now fully independent and have a sign up offer at the end of this link if you'd like to get involved.  [OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH AK BETS](https://partners.akbets.bet/visit/?bta=46&brand=akbets)                                       ![It Worked In The ‘80s (16)](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/It%20Worked%20In%20The%20%E2%80%9880s%20(16).png?width=304&height=171&name=It%20Worked%20In%20The%20%E2%80%9880s%20(16).png)                                               18+ | [BeGambleAware.org](https://www.begambleaware.org/) [Racing](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/racing), [Andrew Mount](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/andrew-mount), [Simon Nott's blogs,](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/simon-notts-blogs), [Simon Nott Zooms In](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/simon-nott-zooms-in), [winning horseracing systems](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/winning-horseracing-systems), [Winning Betting Systems](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/winning-betting-systems), [Andrew Mount Tips](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/andrew-mount-tips), [Venetia Williams](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/venetia-williams), [Simon Nott Racing](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/simon-nott-racing) ## Related posts [![It Worked In The 1980s? #2 Hat-Trick Seeking](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/It%20Worked%20In%20The%20%E2%80%9880s%20(2).png?height=200&name=It%20Worked%20In%20The%20%E2%80%9880s%20(2).png) ](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/it-worked-in-the-80s-2-hat-trick-seekers-with-andrew-mount) [Simon Nott](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/simon-nott), [Racing](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/racing), [Andrew Mount](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/andrew-mount), [Simon Nott Video Interviews](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/simon-nott-video-interviews), [Professional Punter](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/professional-punter), [£25 Bookmaker sign up](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/25-bookmaker-sign-up), [UK Bookmaker Sign up offers](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/uk-bookmaker-sign-up-offers), [Trend Horses](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/trend-horses), [UK Bookmaker Welcome Offers](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/uk-bookmaker-welcome-offers), [winning horseracing systems](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/winning-horseracing-systems), [Winning Backing Horses](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/winning-backing-horses), [Betting Systems](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/betting-systems), [Winning Betting Systems](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/tag/winning-betting-systems) ## [It Worked In The 80's? - #2 Hat-Trick Seekers - with Andrew Mount](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/it-worked-in-the-80s-2-hat-trick-seekers-with-andrew-mount) [Simon Nott](https://www.simonnott.co.uk/blog-racing/author/simon-nott) 4/15/25 9:28 AM This week’s blast from the systems past is a “Systems Study by Formulator” article titled “Sifting...
