I love getting emails from professional punter Alan Potts, here's his latest, on 'The Law Of Averages'. 

If anybody ever brings this up, here's a current fact that should shut them up for good.

The Indian national cricket team has played twenty one day international games in the last two years. They have lost the toss in every single one of them.

That's the equivalent of backing twenty consecutive losing even money favourites. And it's a genuine one in a million chance.

Being a cynic, and having noted that Asian bookies take bets on the toss in these games, I wonder if there's a link between  most Indian cricket fans betting on India to win the toss, and the fact that they don't!
